About me
Hello!
My name is Chloe. I am a yoga student and teacher.
Yoga is one of the things that I could speak to you about for hours. I love that yoga invites us to intentionally connect with mind, body and breath.
We are often so busy that just coming to your mat and taking a breath can shift your energy.
I believe we unravel something every time we practice - from engaging muscles to find length, or slowing down to notice how our mind and body is today.
My classes focus on linking breath to asana (postures or movement), incorporating meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) and modern philosophy.
I am also really passionate about creating community - if you join a class with me, I will always say hello and encourage connection between students too.
A confession…
When I first started practicing yoga, I never stayed for savasana (corpse poses aka the relaxation pose at the end of class). But a 6-day Ashtanga yoga retreat convinced me that it was something worth exploring. I started a busy career and found that yoga complemented the waves of stress that I rode throughout the day. I became a dedicated student at The Yoga Vine in Perth, and found my home at Yogarise in London, with many, many studios in between.
Burnout forced me to take time out from work and provided me with the space to complete my initial Yoga Teacher Training. I am honoured to have trained with incredible teachers: Erin Prichard, Rishin Paonaskar, Clare Daniell and Tara Lee, and Norman Blair, and to have practiced with many more.
Through training and my yoga practise I have been gifted a wonderful community - my partner and life-long friends - and a ‘job’ that makes me fulfilled, calm and content.
I hope to be part of your journey. But if I am not, there is a teacher out there for you too.
Outside of yoga
I am obsessed with food! Eating it, buying it, cooking it, reading about it… I have organised and hosted supper clubs and yoga retreats with my bestie, and cooked on a retreat for a talented yoga teacher and friend.
In London I also worked for a brilliant charity, Migrateful, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and long-term migrants to run cookery classes for the public in their cuisine. There I ate the best food, and feel so lucky to have met such special people from all over the world.
Now that I am back in Perth, I am so grateful to be able to dive into the ocean and feel the sun on my skin.

I also acknowledge my privilege in being able to do so, and hope I can share what I have learnt in accessible and sustainable ways.
